I think it is Gwen. It is definately hemp but I don't know what it smells like. I haven't finished the last of the shavings yet so I still haven't opened the bag. I will definately have to use it on Saturday though so will let you know if it has a smell :)

I'm really reluctant to put it in the hutch for Jack and Marley but will use it in indoor litter trays until it's finished. It was worth a try though. I'm just glad I'm not pregnant lol

I will buy it off you then :)

With pleasure :) . I'm nearly retching every time I smell it now (and I'm NOT pregnant. Think it's reminding me of something when I was though. I'm starting to feel like Kim on I'm a celebrity lol). I'll bring it tomorrow. Don't give me anything for it Kareen - I've used about a 5th of the bag already. I'll be quite happy to swap it for the next couple of lots of hay, if that's OK :)

I opened the aubiose and had a sniff :D It has a faint smell if you stick your nose in it but I didn't smell anything when I was just taking it out the bag. I don't how it compares to hemcore though.

Oh trust me Ashley, you don't need to stick your nose in the bag to smell the hemcore lol :P . It will definitely do the job of keeping the flies away...and me. So where did you but the aubiose from? I've just bought another large bale of shavings but I might try the other stuff sometime.

I got it from Jaws, Paws and Claws. It is on the road between Dunfermline and Gowkhall (A907) on the left hand side just before Gowkhall. It was £9.50 for the aubiose.

Thanks Ashley. What a bril name for a pet shop. I will have a run out there sometime for a look. Hope wee Jack is getting on OK. Looking forward to hearing about your bonding with Susie too x
