The Loony Dook

Postby Shazza4505 » Sat Sep 26, 2009 6:38 pm

Is anyone crazy enough? http://www.theloonydook.co.uk/

I plan on doing The Loony Dook this Hogmonay, and i was wondering if any other FRR peeps want to join me ;D . We could organise sponsorship from our friends and families, and between a group of us i rekon we could do quite well?

I was thinking bunny ears and possibly specially printed jumpers to promote the rescue?

Bare in mind it will be really freezing, but a whole lot of fun too!

Who's with me?

LOL i think a wet suit is a good idea, followed by baggy clothes, as me in a wet suit is not an appealing thought :D .

I have managed to rope Fee in ;) and hopefully Lynn too.

I emailed David who organises it, who said there is not age limit, but they advise against under 12 year olds participating due to the crowds. However, as long as they are supervised it is ok.
The event is free, but they would like a donation for a charity of their choice, which is usually a cancer charity.

Will need to work out sponsor sheets etc, but that wont be too hard.

I think i will wear this

and these
